The Munato Festival, an annual cultural celebration in Alabel, Sarangani Province, is starting tomorrow. Festival is held every year in late February, marking anavirciry of the province of Sarangani, and it celebrates incredible divercity of the region.
Name itself, Munato, comes from Blaan phrase Muna Toh, meaning “First People”. Munato Festival honors the rich cultural heretige of Saragngani not just by highlighting verious street dances and tribal preformances, but also by showcasing traditional crafts and historical exibits. As always, sport competitions and games are not being left out.
